AZ to OC to AZ to NYC in a matter of days...
Working at OC Weekly was so much fun last week.  The change of pace was much needed, and it has recharged my creative juices to get working on Best of Phoenix A'Fare.  Cassie and Ryan were great to work with.  They seemed so appreciative on my knowledge on the types of things they are working on and that they could ask me questions, call on me for help, etc.  I head back out there next Thursday to help finalize event details and execute Decadence.

New York was AMAZING.  Going out for drinks every night, exploring the subways, getting familiar with the different parts of town, seeing the sights... I absolutely love that city.  I love that we could go out at any time of night and sit down for a meal.  I love that there are always people walking on every street.  I love that they have weather.  I don't think I could settle down there, but I know I could live there for a chunk of time.  I've already decided I would likely live in the Lower East Side, with Williamsburg in Brooklyn as a close second choice.

Fun memories: Times Square at night; bottle of wine over an Italian dinner; cocktails at the Hard Rock; Edward Scissorhands on TVs at a dive bar; getting on the 6 only to get off 10 minutes later because the trains weren't running; walking through Central Park; lunch at Lenny's; shopping on 5th Ave; the crazy glass entrance into the Apple Store; barely missing tickets for the ferry to the Statue of Liberty; watching an intense B-Boy performance in Battery Park; seeing Ground Zero; telling the taxi driver to drop us off early because we got E Broadway confused with Broadway on our way back north to explore Soho; walking past Little Italy and then Chinatown; taking a city bus home; comped shots and a fishbowl of "Swamp Water" at Brother Jimmy's BBQ; dancing to M.I.A. at Justin Timberlake's restaurant/bar, Southern Hospitality; drinking way too much Stella at Public House; climbing 5 flights of stairs to Kyle's apartment every night in heels after too much drinking; lunch in Chinatown; waiting in a line at least 10 blocks long in Brooklyn in the rain to see MGMT, The Ting Tings, and Black Moth Super Rainbow; climbing a tree to see the Ting Tings since we were still in line during their set; eating the most delicious frozen yogurt I've ever had; dinner and beers at Pianos in the Lower East Side; Empire State Building at 8:30 am; Bloomingdale's shoe run; lunch with my cousin Megan near her work; shopping at H&M again because Summer and I are in love with that place; racing to the airport to get on an earlier flight because ours was canceled; likely annoying people near us on our flights or in the airports with laughs and giggles as we watched and re-watched Superbad to pass the time.

I'm sure there's many more I'll add as I think of them...
